Mojave

The Mojave Desert is a product of the rain shadow effect from the Transverse Ranges in Southern California and the southern Sierra Nevada mountains. The Mojave is home to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the United States (282 feet below sea level), and is dominated by Creosote Bush and the iconic Joshua Tree. At first, the Mojave might seem desolate but it is full of life and geological wonder.
